Mexican restaurants open in Mt. Prospect
Chipotle Mexican Grill opened a new restaurant at Randhurst Friday. The location at 102 E. Kensington Road in Mount Prospect is open daily from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.
To mark the opening, Chipotle from 3-6 p.m. Thursday gave students with Prospect High School ID cards a burrito, burrito bowl, salad, or tacos along with a fountain beverage. And in Des Plaines, George and Diane Loera have opened Taco Village Restaurant at 1590 S. Rand Road.
The Loera family opened their first Taco Village Mexican fast food restaurant on the Southwest Side of Chicago in 1968.
Hours are Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 7 a.m.-midnight; and Sunday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. The Web site is tacovillage.us.
